Q. What is the first thing you do before starting to design a web site?
The first thing we do is listen. Q. What are the stages of website design?
At Divadani Design, once we have found out what it is you need, the next thing we do is draw up a specification document detailing all the features and functionality that will be included in your website. This means that everyone knows from the start exactly what work will be done for the agreed price. Later on, this specification document will form the blueprint for your site which the various designers and developers will work from.
Once the specification is revised as required and then approved by the client, the next thing we do is create a graphical mockup of our proposed design ideas for the site. This shows the colours, menu structure, page layout, and images.
Once this has been adjusted as required and approved, then we take that design and apply it to every other page in the site to create a full prototype.
Finally, with the prototype approved, we complete all the backend programming required to make your website function properly.
Q. How long does it take to design a website?
This varies, depending on the complexity of the project. A straightforward brochure style site designed simply to provide information about your business may take as little as two weeks to complete. Bigger projects might take up to six months. On average, though, most of the websites we develop are completed with six to eight weeks.
